AUTHORING

Authoring is the creation of a replicatable project from your A/V content. Many producers who have content do not have the desire or capability to author a Blu-ray project. If this is the case, please contact us so we can connect you with a qualified authoring solution.

PREMASTERING

Similar to DVD, Blu-ray premastering creates a usable BD CMF (Cutting Master Format) volume, which the replicator uses to master and manufacture your Blu-ray Discs. Some authoring tools create a BD CMF, some do not, but there are new tools (like BluStreak Premaster) that can enable the conversion from a BDMV volume to a BD CMF volume.

REPLICATION

Similar to DVD, replication creates your finished Blu-ray Discs. Blu-ray Disc is still a young format, but we've identified replication solutions that specialize in small-quantity (1K and up) replication jobs at very aggressive pricing. Note that replication prices do NOT include disc face printing, or the cost of the disc package, the package wrap, or other assembly and shipping costs. However, we've arranged for all these services to be provided by an experienced supplier.
